Win a Dinner for Two at Carrabba's Italian Grill!

Still not sure what to get Dad for Father's Day? Here's your chance to do some shopping with a few clicks on your keyboard.

Carrabba's Italian Grill is offering a lucky Food Blogga reader a chance to win dinner for two at Carrabba's Italian Grill. (Click here for locations nearest you.)

In the event that you win, but you're not near one of the restaurants, then you will receive one of Carraba's Italian cookbooks.

Here's how to win the dinner for two:

Tell me why you'd like to win this certificate. That's it. Please submit your comment by the end of the day, Monday June 15, 2009.

I will contact the winner Tuesday morning, so he or she will have time to get the certificate to Dad (unless, that is, you decide to keep it for yourself and give Dad a golf shirt instead).

Good luck, everybody!

My dad loves Carraba's. This would be a great Father's Day present for our family.

I live three hours away from the nearest Carrabas, and my dad lives two hours away from that same Carrabas (in the opposite direction). Wouldn't it be fun if we could meet there for a meal for Father's Day?

My wife, kids and I love Carraba's! I have watched Johnny Carrabba and Damian Mandola on PBS for years and I own their cookbooks. The food is wonderful. I received one of the cookbooks from a manager at a Carraba's in Austin. I just asked him about the cookbook and he gave me one on the spot. Did I mention we love Carraba’s?

Thanks,

Kevin

PS Be sure to check out Damain Mandola’s places in Austin and Dripping Springs!

Doesn't everyone love Carrabbas? I don't live close to one but we do go everytime we can.....I would love to win a Fathers Day Meal for my husband but since we are not going to be in Ohio (the closest one to us, I would love the cookbook.

I live over an hour away from my family and with work and school I don't see them often. However, I am going home to celebrate Father's Day and my mother's birthday and it would be great to give them the gift card to use on dinner together!

I'm actually going to be home for Father's day this year. If I could take "dadda" out, that'd be great! (I'm kind of low on cash these days, so anytime I can buy someone dinner and not have to pay for it is a plus)

I would love to win this for my husband. He is recently unemployed and because of that, we haven't had a meal out together in 6 months.

My husband and I just decided we're going to start a family. What better way to celebrate than with a giant plate of cheesy pasta?

My husband loves Carrabba's! I know he would love to celebrate Father's Day at one of his favorite restaurants. We just happen to have one about a mile away from our house too. Kismet!

What is there not to love in Carrabbas? I just read Brooke's comment... there are people who needs the certificate more than me:-).. NOT leaving a comment to win it..

Because it's right down to road from us! And my husband deserves it, he's underappreciated and underpaid

My husband and I seldom have the opportunity to go out to dinner together. This would be a treat to celebrate our parenting journey.

First, I've never been to Carrabbas and would love to try it.

Second, as I've gotten older and started my family I don't have as much time to spend with my parents. It would be nice to go out to dinner with them and actually have some time to talk!

I already made plans to take my dad out to eat on Father's day, and there is a Carrabba's right down the street from where he lives. That would be so cool to take him there! This is the first father's day since I was a kid that I have lived this close to my dad, so I am excited to spend it with him.

I would like to win this gift certificate because I currently live in Belgium and he lives back in the US and the idea of sitting down over Italian dinner and catching up face to face sounds like the perfect Fathers Day gift. I will have to have a surrogate sit in for me until I come back but it sounds like fun anyway.

My dad usually grills for Father's Day. (He is a big grill man!) Unfortunately, due to a recent run of ill health he won't be able to man the grill this year. Taking him to Carrabba's would be a nice way to spend some time together and take the pressure off the Grill Man.

Happily we live only about 8 blocks from our local Carrabba's Italian Grill! My husband is a devoted husband and father. We've been married 32 years. He has helped me pack up and put away the ton of 1st grade classroom items in the room where I have been the substitute teacher for the past 2 1/2 months. All items in the classroom must be packed up in cabinets and boxes and put away for the summer. After school ends tomorrow, he will help me roll up the 3 very large classroom rugs and move every piece of furniture in the hall so the classroom floors can be stripped and waxed over the summer. Whew! What a huge moving job that is - and he does it gladly! His very favorite type of food is, of course, Italian food! Our daughter is in college 10 hours drive away from home and we won't be able to see her on June 21st. It would both thank and cheer my husband up to have a nice meal at Carrabba's Italian Grill on Father's Day. Thanks for the opportunity to win this for him!

Carrabba's is one of my husbands favorite restuarants. We don't go out very often and I will be gone for six weeks this summer. So a little weekend outing would be nice!

I don't think you pick these according to content, but I'll be glowing anyhow. My best friend and I went to Carrabba's once and really liked it. We haven't been able to return because of our borderline financial condition, but if I won this we would be back in a minute (even though we're not fathers).

Ok..I
l'll make it short and sweet. I love Italian food, and I NEVER win anything, so it would be fun to win something for once..lol :)

My 90 year old father will not let me buy him anything. Growing up my sisters and I were forbidden to spend more than 5 cents apiece on him and my mother. I usually make him homemade cards. However he might make an exception on something I won being shared with him and my mother. Letting them have the dinner and paying for my own meal would be perfect.

We went there as a family and my grandparents were with us too! Surprisingly my dad loved it and my grandpa could not stop talking about how amazing the steak was and that he would drive a long way just to go get that again :) It would be so fun to be able to go with my dad and grandpa again!!

I would love to win the gift certifcate and take my hubby and my Mom out to eat. My Dad is in heaven now, but his favorite food was Italian food. Hands down, over anything else, if he got to choose it was Italian food for dinner. It would be another great way to remember my Dad.

That last time we have had a dinner out was a year ago. In these bad economic times, I am so glad that I have always been a good cook and can make nice meals for my husband and myself....but sometimes I miss my Friday night date nights. Carrabas used to be a place we went!

Katie said...

I would like to win it because I still haven't figured out what to get my dad, and this would be perfect!

I made it home for Mother's Day, but can't do the same for Father's Day. It'd be nice to send home something in my place.

My husband loves Carrabbas with his whole heart. He can't get enough of the Chicken Bryan. He is a first time dad this year (any day now....trust me, I'm ready) and I would love to give him something special...

My father does not enjoy going out to eat for he believes that most restaurants aren't that good. However, one exception to this rule is Italian food. He really loves going out for Italian and his favorite dish is lasagne. A trip to Carraba's would be right up his alley!

Thank you,

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary as broke college students at Carraba's. Best meal we had in college. Now that a few years have passed, it would mean a lot to him if we went there to celebrate his impending fatherhood (our baby is due in a few months)and it would mean a lot to me to be able to take him there without him having to see the check! Thanks!

My husband and I had dinner at Carraba's for our 25th wedding anniversary. Our 30th anniversary is coming up soon, and we'd love to celebrate it at Carrabas.

This is probably too late, but here goes:

I would like to win this for my Dad, because he became unemployed back in November. We live in Michigan, where jobs are very scarce. He has been down in the dumps, because he has to sit at home all day, while my Mom has to provide for the family.

My parents rarely get to spend an evening together, because money has always been tight. I think this would be a nice gift for him, so that they could enjoy a, once in a great while, night together to celebrate his day. Plus, he always says he doesn't want anything for Father's Day from us kids, so he is never expecting anything. I think this would be a nice surprise. =)

Thanks,
Kristen (ShatteredSlippers@hotmail.com)
